Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Puntborough ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit our website. We are the data controller for that data and handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or give us your name. The data we may collect is limited to:
- Technical data – such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, recorded by our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use.
- Click data – when you click a link to an operator, a tracking reference may be added so the operator can tell us that a visitor came from our site.
- Messages you send us – if you email us, we keep your email address and what you wrote so we can reply.
How we use it
- To run, secure and improve the website.
- To understand which pages and offers are useful to visitors.
- To receive commission from operators for visitors we refer.
- To respond to your questions.
Our lawful basis
We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the website and in earning referral commissions. Where non-essential cookies are used, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies
Our pages may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality, analytics and affiliate tracking. Operators you visit through our links may also set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may not work as expected if you do.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
- our hosting and analytics providers, who process it on our behalf;
- affiliate networks and operators, to confirm referrals (normally a tracking reference, not your name);
- authorities, where the law requires it.
Once you leave our site for an operator, that operator's own privacy policy applies to any data you give them.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Emails are normally deleted within 24 months, and analytics data is kept in aggregated or anonymised form wherever possible.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict how we use it;
- ask for your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
